Interior Ministry: Four Suspects Detained with Narcotics and Psychoactive Substances for Trafficking and Consumption

Kuwait City, Oct 22 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced on Thursday the arrest of four suspects in three cases, with drugs and psychoactive substances found in their possession for the purposes of trafficking and consumption. In a press release, the ministry said that the Criminal Security Sector, represented by the General Administration for Combating Narcotics, succeeded in apprehending the suspects in the Farwaniya, Ar Rayyan, and Ad Dasmah areas, as part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and apprehend those involved. The seized items included marijuana, methamphetamine, Lyrica capsules, A4-sized papers soaked in chemical liquid, and sensitive scales. The ministry confirmed that the necessary legal procedures have been taken against the suspects, and that they and the seized items have been referred to the competent authorities. (End) A.J.R.
