Kuwait City, October 22 (KUNA) – The Kuwait Municipality continued today, Thursday, its field inspection campaigns targeting construction violations related to residential, commercial, industrial, and private properties, and verifying compliance with the building ratio requirements and regulations stipulated in the Building Bylaws.
Hamoud Al-Gharbah, head of the municipality’s inspection team, said in a press statement that the team in the Mubarak Al-Kabir Governorate identified several houses that exceeded the permitted building ratios in violation of municipal laws. He explained that the team conducted field inspections in various areas where violations were detected and took all necessary measures, issuing three construction system violations and five warnings for building violations in the Al-Fanitees area.
He emphasized the importance of visiting those who received warnings for exceeding building ratios and responding promptly by contacting the municipality to obtain property licenses, which would confirm the presence of the required approvals.
He confirmed that the municipality’s campaigns are ongoing across all governorates according to a schedule prepared by the Public Relations Department in coordination with relevant departments, to carry out inspection rounds over the coming weeks.
He called on plot and house owners to follow the municipality’s official accounts, benefit from the awareness messages and guidelines to be published sequentially, and contact the municipality to inquire about any regulatory requirements, thereby facilitating procedures and ensuring compliance with systems and regulations.
