Aden, Oct 21 (KUNA) -- The Yemeni Armed Forces announced the execution of 835 precise strikes against Houthi militia capabilities over the past 24 hours as part of Operation “Fajr al-Yemen,” employing warplanes, drones, artillery, rocket launchers, and sniper units.
In a statement on Wednesday, Colonel Majid al-Nazili, the official spokesperson for the Armed Forces, said the operations neutralized approximately 285 Houthi militia fighters and commanders, and destroyed or damaged around 190 military vehicles, armored cars, drones, and other military equipment.
He noted that the strikes targeted Houthi militia movements, concentrations, reinforcements, weapons, armored vehicles, firing positions, fortifications, transportation, and supply lines.
Al-Nazili said that Armed Forces units in Ta’iz province, supported by popular resistance, repelled new thrusts and reinforcements deployed by the Houthi militia in an attempt to regain their positions, thereby thwarting their objectives.
He added that armored, artillery, and drone units continued to target militia movements, fortifications, and armed crews on the northern and eastern fronts west of Marib province, limiting their ability to maneuver and concentrate forces across axes.
He affirmed that the Armed Forces are continuing their operations in accordance with the operational plan, noting that the strikes targeted military objectives deemed legitimate after verification and the implementation of necessary precautions to protect civilians and civilian property.
