Tehran, Oct 20 (KUNA) – Iran’s Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Major General Mohsen Rezaee, affirmed on Tuesday that “all enriched nuclear materials will remain within the country.” The official Iranian news agency, IRNA, reported that Rezaee, during a meeting with Pakistani Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, stated, “Not a single atom of material will leave the country.” Rezaee added that “everyone in Iran has agreed that there will be no negotiations until trust is built by the United States, and the first step in building that trust is for the U.S. to meet Iran’s conditions.” For his part, General Bajwa stressed the reopening of the border between Iran and Pakistan, declaring, “We clearly announce that the Iran-Pakistan border issue has been resolved and the border has been reopened as of this morning.” Earlier, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings in New York, Iran had put forward a proposal calling for an end to the war and the lifting of the naval blockade in exchange for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz within seven days. However, U.S. President Donald Trump said he had rejected the proposal. (End) M.W. / R.J.
