Kuwait City, October 20 (KUNA) — The Ministry of Interior, through the Ahmadi Governorate Security Directorate’s Operations and Patrols Department, carried out a comprehensive security operation today, Tuesday, in the city of Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jabir, to bolster security presence, apprehend wanted individuals and violators, and combat negative social phenomena.
In a press statement, the Ministry of Interior said the operation was conducted in collaboration with the Committee for Combating Negative Phenomena. It resulted in issuing 127 traffic violation tickets, arresting 16 wanted persons and absconders, detaining 11 individuals lacking any form of identification, apprehending eight persons in violation of the residency and labor laws, and capturing three itinerant vendors. Additionally, one person was found in possession of narcotics.
The statement also announced the arrest of an individual in possession of intoxicants and another wanted for psychiatric evaluation, as well as the seizure of two vehicles subject to judicial warrants. Furthermore, the Committee for Combating Negative Phenomena cut off electricity supplies to three units used to house single men.
