Kuwait City, October 20 (KUNA) — The Ministry of Interior, through the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation, announced on Tuesday the dismantling of a criminal network that exploited a residential property in the Al-Rahab area to manufacture and distribute locally produced alcohol. This operation is part of the ongoing security efforts to combat crime and apprehend its perpetrators.
In a press statement, the Ministry said the arrest followed intensive investigations and field surveillance that led to identifying and raiding the property, where approximately 300 containers, each with a capacity of 25 liters, of alcoholic substances were found.
The statement clarified that the three-story building was entirely used for manufacturing operations, and hazardous, flammable materials posing a risk to neighboring houses were discovered.
It added that coordination was carried out with the General Fireforce to secure the site and handle the flammable materials, with the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy to disconnect the power supply in preparation for removing the illegal structures, as well as with the Kuwait Municipality to issue the necessary violation notices and destroy the seized items. It confirmed that appropriate legal measures were taken against the suspects and referred them to the competent authorities.
The Ministry reiterated its continued efforts to monitor locations used for committing crimes, apprehend those involved, and take necessary legal action against them, in order to safeguard community security and safety. (End) H.M. / M.M.J.
