Aden, October 20 (KUNA) — The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Tuesday that they carried out 744 targeting operations against military sites and objectives belonging to the Houthi militias over the past 24 hours, neutralizing approximately 200 of their fighters as part of Operation “Fajr al-Yemen.”
In a statement, Colonel Majid al-Nazili, the official spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, said the operations resulted in the neutralization of around 200 militia members and the destruction or damage of 90 military vehicles and equipment. He added that the operations were conducted using warplanes, drones, field artillery, rocket launchers, and sniper units, and targeted command and control centers, firing positions, fortified sites, areas where reserves and reinforcements were amassed, and supply routes.
Al-Nazili clarified that Armed Forces units continued their operations in Taiz Governorate, while the eastern, southern, and western fronts witnessed simultaneous pressure that restricted the movement of Houthi militia reserves and prevented them from achieving field gains. He reaffirmed the continued execution of missions in accordance with the operational plan, with targeting restricted to legitimate military objectives and the adoption of necessary precautions to protect civilians and civilian property.
