Kuwait City, October 20 (KUNA) – The Kuwait Municipality stressed today, Tuesday, the importance of adhering to the construction ratios allocated to each residential unit as stipulated by the Building Regulations, and complying with their conditions and controls.
Fahd Al-Azmi, head of the municipality’s inspection team, said in a press statement that field teams periodically monitor construction and building activities across the six governorates to enforce the Building Regulations and ensure compliance.
Al-Azmi added that the supervisory team conducted an inspection in the Hawalli Governorate, specifically in the Salam area, to issue a warning to a property owner who had significantly exceeded the permitted construction ratio. He called on the violator, who received the warning, to respond promptly and submit the property permits confirming the increase in the construction ratio.
Al-Azmi noted that today’s inspection round resulted in issuing three violation reports and seven warnings related to building regulations, and reaffirmed that supervisory and inspection teams will continue to monitor non-compliant properties.
He urged plot and property owners to follow the Kuwait Municipality’s official accounts to benefit from awareness messages and guidelines that will be published regularly, and to contact the municipality to inquire about any regulatory requirements, thereby facilitating their procedures and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
