Moscow, October 19 (KUNA) -- Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said on Monday that reaching a final settlement to the crisis in Ukraine requires a leadership in Kyiv willing to take responsibility. Peskov told journalists that the United States continues its mediation efforts aimed at resolving the Ukrainian crisis, emphasizing that Russia highly values these efforts. Regarding the possibility of a meeting between the leaders of Russia, the United States, and China on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum, scheduled to be held in Shenzhen, China, on November 18 and 19, Peskov clarified that no proposals or agreements regarding such a meeting, including a potential agenda, have been put forward or discussed. Peskov’s remarks come amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war since February 2022, with military operations continuing and divergent positions on a political settlement, as diplomatic efforts persist to resume negotiations between the two countries under U.S. mediation.
