Kuwait City, 18 October (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Interior, in coordination with the General Fireforce and the Kuwait Municipality, conducted a broad security operation in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area, resulting in the arrest of wanted individuals and the issuance of violations.
In a press statement on Sunday, the Ministry of Interior said the operation led to the issuance of 40 traffic violations, the arrest of 40 wanted persons, and the apprehension of 10 individuals in violation of the residency law. Three abandoned vehicles and one vehicle violating traffic regulations were seized, and one person was arrested for possessing alcohol.
According to the statement, the General Fireforce issued 78 violation notices, administratively closed 47 establishments, and issued 23 closure warnings.
As for the Kuwait Municipality’s efforts, the statement noted the identification of 62 cases requiring shop licensing, the placement of 25 stickers on vehicles, the detection of 18 cases of non-compliance with area regulations, and 15 cases requiring the removal of stored items. Additionally, 10 abandoned vehicles were towed, and 6 cases requiring the removal of temporary structures were identified.
