Cairo, October 18 (KUNA) -- The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Board of Grievances, officially joined the Arab Union for Administrative Justice in a move aimed at enhancing Arab judicial cooperation, exchanging legal expertise, and developing the administrative justice system.

The Egyptian State Council said in a statement on Sunday that the accession took place during a visit by a Saudi judicial delegation led by Dr. Ali Al-Ahaidib, Chairman of the Board of Grievances and Head of Administrative Justice, to the Council’s headquarters, where the signing ceremony for the accession documents was held.

During the ceremony, Chairman of the State Council, Advisor Mahmoud Abu Al-Dahab, welcomed the Saudi delegation, emphasizing the deep fraternal and historical ties between Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which serve as a foundation for strengthening joint cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the judicial and legal fields.

He affirmed that the Kingdom’s accession represents a qualitative addition to the Union’s trajectory, given the distinguished judicial and legal expertise of the Saudi Board of Grievances and its status as an established institution in the field of administrative justice in the Kingdom.

He clarified that this step opens broader horizons for exchanging experiences and practices among Arab administrative justice institutions and enhancing cooperation in developing judicial work and elevating the administrative justice system.

The statement quoted Al-Ahaidib expressing his pride in the close judicial relations between the Saudi Board of Grievances and the Egyptian State Council, and emphasizing the importance of joining the Union in strengthening institutional communication among Arab administrative justice bodies, exchanging and benefiting from expertise, thereby achieving the common goals of Arab judicial institutions.

The Arab Union for Administrative Justice, established in 2015 and headquartered in Cairo, aims to consolidate cooperation among administrative justice bodies in Arab countries and exchange judicial and legal expertise, contributing to the entrenchment of the rule of law. (End) M.M. / N.S.A.
