Kuwait City, Oct 16 (KUNA) — The Kuwaiti Ministry of Islamic Affairs affirmed the exalted status held by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a fraternal nation, in the hearts of Muslims, recognizing it as the land of the Two Holy Mosques and the cradle of the Islamic message. It stressed the importance of safeguarding the Kingdom’s security and stability and rejecting any aggression targeting its territory or terrorizing its peaceful citizens. This was stated in Friday sermons delivered in mosques across the country, which the Ministry dedicated to underscoring the deep fraternal and historical ties binding Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, as well as the shared destiny of the two brotherly nations.
The Ministry noted that Islam is founded on principles of mercy, justice, security, peace, love, and brotherhood, and is committed to preserving human life and dignity, protecting rights and property, and establishing relationships among people based on justice and fairness. It emphasized that Islamic Sharia prohibits oppression and aggression against innocent lives, the terrorization of those at peace, and threats to their lives, considering such acts among the great evils abhorred by Sharia and rejected by sound human nature.
It added that serving the Two Holy Mosques, caring for their visitors, and facilitating the rituals of Hajj and Umrah are noble deeds whose impact is felt by Muslims worldwide. It clarified that the ties binding the Kingdom to its brotherly nations are rooted in shared religion, geographic proximity, history, and common destiny.
It further stated that these fraternal bonds must be preserved through loyalty, sincere affection, and standing by the Kingdom in all that promotes good, security, and stability, while rejecting any aggression targeting its people or undermining its capabilities.
The Ministry highlighted the importance of instilling in younger generations the values of love for one’s homeland, loyalty to brotherly nations, and respect for rights, as well as reinforcing concepts of cooperation and solidarity, which are essential for preserving homelands and safeguarding their security and stability.
It also prayed to Allah, the Almighty, to protect the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to perpetuate upon it the blessings of security, safety, and stability, to shield it from all harm and evil, and to protect Kuwait, the other Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and Muslim lands. It prayed for the preservation of innocent civilian lives, the healing of the wounded and injured, mercy for the deceased, the prevention of fitnas (trials and tribulations), wars, and destruction, and for the peoples of the region to be granted security, tranquility, and stability.
