Paris, October 15 (KUNA) -- France and Germany reached an agreement today, Thursday, on the automotive sector, including support for further easing of European Union rules on vehicle emissions. Local media reported that, according to a draft document outlining the terms of the deal, the two largest economies in Europe also agreed to include the United Kingdom in the definition of vehicles considered “made in Europe,” as part of EU measures aimed at strengthening industries within the bloc. Paris and Berlin had long been at odds over the path Europe should take to revive its struggling automotive sector, and this agreement is likely to shape the continent’s policy in the coming period.
