Kuwait City, 14 October (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Defense organized an event titled “Mammogram Safety” to enhance health awareness regarding the importance of early detection of breast cancer and to consolidate a culture of prevention and regular screening, thereby contributing to the protection of women’s health and raising community awareness. The event was held under the presence and patronage of the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Mubarak Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah.
The Ministry of Defense stated in a press release that the event saw participation from various associations and relevant entities, alongside educational and awareness workshops that provided health guidance and information on preventive measures, the importance of early detection, and its role in enhancing treatment and recovery prospects.
It added that the initiative underscores the Ministry of Defense’s commitment to supporting awareness and health programs and promoting social responsibility, based on its conviction that health awareness and early detection are two fundamental pillars for protecting women’s health and building a more aware and healthier society.
