Baghdad, October 13 (KUNA) -- The official spokesperson for the 52nd session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Foreign Ministers’ meetings, Hussain Kamel, announced on Tuesday that the upcoming session, to be held in the Iraqi capital, will discuss a number of important files related to the Palestinian issue, Yemen, and the fight against terrorism. Kamel clarified in a statement that the session will also explore effective mechanisms to halt the illegal activities of the Israeli occupation in Palestinian territories, foremost among which are settlement, displacement, annexation, and the Judaization of Jerusalem. He noted that food and water security, intra-regional trade, and the encouragement of investment among member states will also be among the key economic files on the agenda of the OIC Foreign Ministers’ meeting, alongside discussions on mechanisms to combat Islamophobia and terrorism, as well as the rights of Muslim minorities in other countries.
