Baghdad, October 13 (KUNA) – Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zoubi on Tuesday requested that the Council of Representatives set next Thursday as the date for the voting session on his deputy prime ministers, vacant ministries, and newly created ministries within his government. The Iraqi News Agency reported that al-Zoubi addressed the parliament in an official letter, asking it to schedule the voting session for next Thursday, in accordance with Article 76, paragraph 4, of the 2005 Iraqi Constitution, to complete the government’s composition. He noted that the deputy prime ministers whose positions were newly created in this term would serve without salaries, without financial allocations, and without new appointments for their offices, due to the country’s financial crisis. The Council of Representatives is expected to vote on four deputy prime ministers and several vacant ministries, including Defense, Interior, Higher Education, Planning, Reconstruction, Labor, Youth, and Migration. Additionally, several new ministries are likely to be established, including a Ministry of Tourism and a State Ministry. (End) A.H.H./R.J.
