Kuwait City, 12 October (KUNA) — The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Al-Saud Al-Sabah, chaired a coordination meeting attended by the Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Affairs and Acting Minister of Information and Culture, Omar Al-Omar, CEOs of telecommunications companies, and several security leaders, to discuss matters of mutual interest.
The Ministry of Interior said in a press statement on Monday that the meeting reviewed several administrative and regulatory aspects and discussed procedures related to the telecommunications sector and ways to facilitate their implementation. It also examined coordination mechanisms among relevant authorities to help organize work, remove obstacles, and find appropriate solutions to the issues raised.
The ministry added that the meeting was held in line with the Ministry’s commitment to follow up on shared matters with government entities and the private sector, and to enhance cooperation in this regard, thereby supporting the smooth flow of work, completing related procedures within approved frameworks, and serving the public interest.
