Foreign Minister discusses ways to develop joint Arab action with Arab League Secretary-General

Kuwait City, October 12 (KUNA) — Foreign Minister Sheikh Jaraah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah today, Monday, received Secretary-General of the Arab League Nabil Ismail Fahmy on the occasion of his official visit to the State of Kuwait, along with the accompanying delegation. The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the meeting discussed ways to develop joint Arab work and the mechanisms of the Arab League’s operations, in order to enhance its role in serving Arab issues and confronting current challenges, while keeping pace with the aspirations of Arab peoples for security, stability, and development. It added that the two sides also discussed recent developments in the region and the efforts made in response, reaffirming the importance of continuing consultations and coordinating positions to address regional crises in a manner that safeguards the security, sovereignty, and interests of Arab states and their peoples.
