Qatar PM Discusses Latest Developments in Syria with Syrian Foreign Minister

Doha, October 12 (KUNA) -- The Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, held talks today, Monday, with the Syrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad Al-Shaybani, to discuss the latest developments in Syria. A statement from the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the meeting took place during the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister’s reception of his Syrian counterpart in the Qatari capital, Doha. The discussion covered bilateral cooperation relations and ways to enhance and develop them, the latest developments in Syria, and a number of issues of mutual interest. During the talks, the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister reaffirmed Qatar’s support for Syria’s unity, sovereignty, and independence, as well as the aspirations of the Syrian people to live with dignity and to build a state based on institutions and the rule of law.
