Saudi Civil Aviation Authority extends suspension of operations at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh

Riyadh, Oct 12 (KUNA) -- The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation announced on Monday the extension of the suspension of operational operations at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh. The Authority said in a statement that this decision comes to complete the necessary procedures to verify the safety and operational readiness of the airport’s facilities, in coordination with the relevant authorities. The Authority announced on Sunday evening that the airport had been subjected to a new attack, resulting in injuries, and that damage assessments and verification of the safety of the facilities were underway.
