Kuwait City, 12 October (KUNA) — The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed on Monday the strong condemnation and rejection by the State of Kuwait of the continued terrorist and criminal attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In a statement, the ministry highlighted the latest of these attacks, which targeted King Khalid International Airport in the capital Riyadh and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam on Sunday. The attack on King Khalid International Airport resulted in the death of one resident and injuries to others, as well as material damage, in a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Kingdom and a flagrant breach of international law and international humanitarian law.
The ministry stressed that persisting in targeting civilian airports and vital facilities constitutes a serious escalation and a direct threat to civilian lives and the safety of air navigation, necessitating a firm international stance to halt these heinous attacks and hold those responsible accountable.
It reaffirmed Kuwait’s absolute solidarity with the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its full support for all measures the Kingdom takes to protect its security and stability and safeguard its sovereignty, emphasizing that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of the State of Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
The ministry also expressed Kuwait’s sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the victim’s family, and wished the injured a speedy recovery. (End) N.M.A. / T.A.B.
