Saudi Foreign Minister Discusses Regional Developments with His British Counterpart

Riyadh, 11 October (KUNA) -- Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held talks today with UK Foreign Secretary and Minister for the Commonwealth and Development Ed Miliband on regional developments and the joint efforts of the two countries to address tensions and mitigate their security and economic repercussions. The Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the discussion took place during a phone call received by Prince Faisal bin Farhan from Ed Miliband, during which they reviewed bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom. The call also addressed the Houthi militia’s attacks on King Khalid International Airport, with the British Foreign Minister expressing his country’s condemnation of the violent acts carried out by the Houthis, which target Yemen’s interior and civilian facilities in the Kingdom, and affirming his country’s solidarity with both the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Yemeni government in confronting these attacks.
