Algeria condemns attack on Riyadh airport and reaffirms solidarity with Saudi Arabia

Algiers, Oct 11 (KUNA) -- Algeria today condemned the vicious attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which killed 12 civilians and injured more than 300, in addition to the material damage recorded. In a statement, the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the “brutal aggression” targeting this vital facility and the innocent victims it caused as a blatant violation of all international norms, the UN Charter, and international humanitarian law, as well as a clear infringement on the safety of civilians and air navigation guaranteed by international agreements governing civil aviation, posing a threat to regional and international security and stability. Algeria reiterated its “full solidarity with the brotherly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” announcing its “firm rejection of such acts and of anything that could undermine the sovereignty of the Kingdom, its territorial integrity, and the security of its citizens and residents.” (End) M.R. / M.A. H.A.
