Minister of Youth and Sports: Supporting the national football team is a priority to achieve positive results

Kuwait City, October 11 (KUNA) – State Minister for Youth and Sports Affairs, Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahma, affirmed today that supporting the national football team is a national priority, driven by the commitment to create an appropriate environment to achieve results befitting the name of the State of Kuwait and the aspirations of its sports fans. This statement was made by Minister Al-Jalahma in an interview with the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) following his meeting with the board of directors of the Kuwait Football Association and the technical committee, as well as separate meetings with the technical and administrative staffs of the senior national team to discuss the team’s recent participation in the Gulf Cup and to review its preparations for upcoming fixtures.
Minister Al-Jalahma stressed the importance of integrating efforts between the Association and the technical and administrative staffs, and working according to a clear vision that contributes to enhancing performance levels and strengthening the national team’s readiness for upcoming challenges. He emphasized that “the Kuwaiti national team is a shared responsibility, and its success requires the convergence of all efforts and teamwork, especially as the team is approaching important fixtures, most notably the Asian Cup scheduled for January next year in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, our brotherly nation.”
He noted that the task requires doubling efforts and mobilizing the necessary resources to ensure the best possible preparation, thereby fulfilling the aspirations of Kuwaiti fans and reflecting the status that Kuwaiti football deserves. (End) S.A.D
