Cairo, October 11 (KUNA) -- Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed Al-Yamah today condemned the ongoing attacks by the Houthi militia on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the targeting of King Khalid International Airport in the capital Riyadh, which resulted in civilian casualties. In a statement, Al-Yamah affirmed that targeting airports and vital civilian infrastructure constitutes a blatant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, as well as a flagrant breach of the principles and rules that ensure the protection of civilians and civilian facilities. He also expressed the Arab Parliament’s unequivocal rejection of these brazen attacks aimed at undermining the security and stability of Saudi Arabia, voicing full solidarity with the Kingdom and support for all measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty, protect its security, and ensure the safety of its citizens and residents. Al-Yamah stressed that the security of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the Arab national security framework, and any threat to it poses a danger to regional security and stability. In this regard, he called on the international community and the UN Security Council to intervene to halt these terrorist attacks, prevent their recurrence, and hold the perpetrators accountable.
