Cairo, October 11 (KUNA) -- The Arab League strongly condemned on Sunday the ongoing terrorist attacks by the Houthi militia on the territory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the latest attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which resulted in the death and injury of civilians.
In a statement, the Arab League emphasized that the repeated targeting of civil aviation facilities and endangering the lives of passengers and staff constitutes a highly dangerous escalation and a blatant violation of international law. It also poses a direct threat to the safety of civilians, international air navigation, and the security and stability of the region.
The League reaffirmed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its steadfast support for the Kingdom in all lawful measures it takes to protect its security, territorial integrity, citizens, and residents, stressing that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Arab national security.
The Arab League expressed its sincere condolences to the Kingdom and the families of the victims, and extended its wishes for the swift recovery of the injured.
Earlier, Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation announced that 12 people were killed and 309 others injured in the attack on King Khalid International Airport yesterday. (End) M.M. / S.M.A.
