Paris, October 10 (KUNA) -- France expressed its full solidarity with the government and people of Panama following the devastating earthquake that struck the country, causing severe damage. In a statement issued on Saturday, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, “France extends its deepest condolences to those affected by this disaster and reaffirms its full support for Panama.” It added, “We also urge the French community residing there to follow the instructions of the local authorities.” A 7.7-magnitude earthquake hit Panama on Friday, felt by residents of the capital and other regions of the country, as well as in neighboring areas of Colombia.
