Aden, Oct 10 (KUNA) -- The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Saturday that they carried out more than 1,900 targeting operations against military sites belonging to the Houthi militias during the past 24 hours, as part of Operation “Fajr al-Yemen” across various fronts along Yemen’s governorates.
In a statement, Colonel Majid al-Nazili, the official spokesperson for the Armed Forces, said the operations targeted weapons and ammunition depots, fortifications, camps, military sites, commanding positions, artillery emplacements, reinforcements, assembly areas, and transport and supply convoys in areas under the militias’ control.
Al-Nazili added that initial field assessments indicated the neutralization of more than 1,150 militia fighters and the destruction or damage of over 180 combat, transport, and supply vehicles.
He clarified that the ground forces continued to develop their offensive, achieving new field advances, recapturing positions, expanding their control over additional commanding sites, and consolidating gains achieved. (End) S.N.S. / R.J.
