US President: Held very constructive conversation with Russian President regarding diesel supplies

Washington, Oct. 9 (KUNA) -- U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Friday that he held a “very constructive” phone conversation with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, regarding diesel supplies. Trump stated in a post on his Truth Social platform that he and President Putin agreed that Russia would immediately supply the U.S. and global markets with more than 300,000 tons of diesel fuel, followed by an additional 500,000 tons in November, and another million tons shortly thereafter. He added that Russia would subsequently supply 3 million tons of diesel fuel within a short timeframe, depending on readiness. Trump noted that diesel prices for Americans and the world would see a historic decline following the agreement with Russia and the U.S. “full” control of the Strait of Hormuz.
