Doha, Oct 9 (KUNA) -- The Gulf Football Union, in cooperation with the Local Organizing Committee, announced the launch of ticket sales for the 2026 Gulf Cup for Under-17 Teams, scheduled to be held in Doha from October 16 to November 4.
In a statement, the Union said tickets are available at a price of 15 Qatari riyals (approximately $4) via the website roadtoqatar.qa. It clarified that all tickets belong to a single category with general seating, and will be digital, accessible through the "Road to Qatar" ticketing app, enabling fans to easily access and use them to attend the tournament matches.
Gulf Football Union Secretary-General Jassem Al-Rumaihi said the Under-17 Gulf Cup provides a valuable platform for emerging football talents in the region to showcase their abilities as they prepare for upcoming international competitions.
Al-Rumaihi expressed his pleasure at welcoming China and Egypt as guest teams this year, providing national teams with the opportunity to compete against strong and diverse footballing schools. He looked forward to seeing fans again in Qatar to support the stars of the future.
The tournament returns to Qatar for the second consecutive year following the success of its inaugural edition in 2025. This year’s edition features ten teams competing for the title, including guest teams Egypt and China, alongside the host nation Qatar, as well as the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, and Yemen, marking the largest participation in the tournament’s history.
The draw, held last September, divided the participating teams into two groups of five. Group A includes host nation Qatar, along with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, and China. Group B features defending champions Saudi Arabia, alongside Iraq, Yemen, Kuwait, and Egypt.
The tournament’s 23 matches will be hosted across three stadiums: Grand Hamad Stadium, Hamad bin Khalifa Stadium, and Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium. All venues are equipped with facilities for fans with disabilities, ensuring a smooth and accessible experience. Fans with disabilities can also purchase tickets by contacting accessibility.tickets@sc.qa via email.
The tournament kicks off at Grand Hamad Stadium on October 16 with a match between Qatar and China. The 13,000-capacity stadium will also host the final on November 4.
Grand Hamad Stadium previously hosted several matches during the 2025 edition, including the final in which Saudi Arabia was crowned champions. (End) S.S.S / M.A.A
