Riyadh, Oct 9 (KUNA) -- The Saudi city of Jeddah will host the sixth edition of the Hajj Conference and Exhibition from November 8 to 11, with participation by more than 520 entities from government, private, and non-profit sectors at both the local and international levels. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday that the conference is organized by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in cooperation with the Service of Guests of Allah program, one of the initiatives under Saudi Vision 2030, under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
The agency added that the conference serves as a key milestone in the early preparations for the 1448 AH Hajj season, by finalizing contracts, discussing operational and organizational aspects, showcasing solutions and initiatives, building partnerships, and enhancing readiness for the season. It brings together leaders, officials, and specialists from various countries around the world across three main tracks: infrastructure and operational services, empowerment and integration, and sustainable development.
The sixth edition features more than 15 areas and a main program, including the Hajj Conference, the Hajj Council, and the Awareness and Training Forum, which is being held for the first time, alongside workshops, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Zone, a hackathon, a business center, and thematic hubs for technology, health, media, aviation, and a special meeting for heads of Hajj affairs offices. These programs provide multiple platforms for dialogue, solution presentation, business development, and partnership building, contributing to the enhancement of the quality of Hajj services and achieving the targets of Saudi Vision 2030 and the Service of Guests of Allah program.
Alongside the conference, a specialized exhibition on the Hajj services ecosystem will be held on an area exceeding 67,000 square meters, with participation from entities and service and solution providers from more than 150 countries. The exhibition gathers leaders, Hajj affairs offices, and service providers, alongside specialized communities in aviation, transport, hospitality, health, infrastructure, technology, innovation, workforce, investment, and business development.
The previous edition attracted more than 204,000 visitors, with 270 exhibitors from over 150 countries, and included 134 specialized sessions and workshops, while more than 2,600 trainees from various countries benefited from its training programs.
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has invited entities, stakeholders, and specialists to register and participate in the sixth edition and to take advantage of its diverse programs and activities through the conference’s official website. (End) K.N.S. / R.J.
