Honoring Several Kuwaiti Talents at Gulf Leading Projects and Figures Celebration in Manama

Manama, October 8 (KUNA) -- Bahrain’s Deputy Prime Minister, Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, today on Thursday honored leading projects and prominent figures in the fields of civil service, labor, development, and social affairs across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, including several distinguished Kuwaiti nationals.

The ceremony was held in the presence of Bahrain’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Shuraidh Al-Muwasharji, heads of the participating Gulf delegations at the 22nd Meeting of the Ministers and Heads of Civil Service Authorities, the 12th Meeting of the Ministers of Labor, and the 12th Meeting of the Ministers of Social Affairs and Development, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain, along with GCC Secretary-General Jasem Al-Budaiwi.

The list of honorees from Kuwait included Undersecretary of the Ministry of Oil Sheikh Dr. Nimer Fahad Al-Malik Al-Sabah; Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information Dr. Nasser Muhaisen; Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice Awatef Al-Sand; Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Civil Medical Services Dr. Fatima Al-Najjar; Deputy Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for GCC Affairs Dr. Fahd Al-Ajmi; and representatives of institutions.

Speaking on this occasion, Bahrain’s Deputy Prime Minister, Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah, expressed pride in participating in this Gulf forum, which celebrates an elite group of individuals from GCC countries as shining examples that have made a tangible difference in their societies. He emphasized that this recognition carries a message of gratitude and appreciation for every hand that builds and dedicates itself to its work, serving as a continuous incentive to reinforce the values of innovation and leadership.

Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah affirmed that the Kingdom of Bahrain’s firm belief that human beings are the ultimate goal and primary driver of development is reflected in the care and attention it affords to the sectors of civil service, labor, and social development, which constitute integrated pillars where efforts converge to build and empower individuals in line with the comprehensive development trajectory of Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

He noted that this approach adopted by the Kingdom represents a starting point for its commitment to supporting all initiatives and projects aimed at enriching the joint Gulf work process and advancing it toward broader horizons of integration and coordination, thereby realizing the aspirations of the leaders of the GCC countries, may God protect and care for them, and meet the ambitions of the region’s people for a more prosperous and thriving future.

Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah congratulated the honored individuals and institutions, praising their sincere contributions that have become success stories and inspiring models, reflecting the vast potential and high capabilities possessed by the people of the Arabian Gulf in the fields of civil service, labor, and social development, and representing a source of pride and honor for the entire Gulf system. He wished them continued success and guidance in their ongoing efforts to serve their homelands.

He also commended the diligent efforts undertaken by the GCC Secretariat-General, ministerial committees, and executive teams in coordinating, following up, and unifying visions, thereby strengthening the joint Gulf work process.

During the ceremony, Sheikh Duaij bin Salman Al Khalifa, Head of the Civil Service Authority, delivered a speech in which he expressed his gratitude to Bahrain’s Deputy Prime Minister for gracing the event, which reflects the Kingdom of Bahrain’s firm commitment to supporting the Gulf cooperation process, developing human resources, and elevating government and social work systems.

He clarified that honoring distinguished talents and pioneering projects serves as a motivation to continue contributing and innovating, and helps spread a culture of excellence and exchange of successful experiences among GCC countries.

For his part, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Al-Budaiwi affirmed that the achievements of the honorees represent exemplary Gulf models that have contributed to developing public and private work environments and enhancing social and developmental initiatives. He noted that the trajectory of joint GCC efforts continues to achieve successes thanks to the integrated efforts undertaken among the member states.

He also delivered a speech on behalf of the honorees, delivered by Kuwait’s Undersecretary of the Ministry of Petroleum, Sheikh Dr. Nimer Fahad Al-Malik Al-Sabah. In his remarks, he praised the attention afforded by the leaders of the GCC states to supporting national competencies and celebrating pioneering achievements and initiatives that contribute to advancing development and joint GCC work. He emphasized that this recognition is a source of pride and honor for all honorees and serves as an impetus to continue giving, excelling, and serving their homelands.

The list of honorees included competencies in the civil service sector, leading figures in the field of work from the Presidency State, outstanding companies in the field of job localization and nationalization, small business owners, and distinguished entities across the GCC states, as well as leading figures and pioneering projects in the field of social work and companies supporting the Executive Office.

Dr. Hessa Al-Shahin was also honored in recognition of her pioneering contributions to volunteer work and community service, based on a nomination by the Kuwait Association for Combating Smoking and Cancer and approval by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Social Affairs.

In a statement, Dr. Al-Shahin expressed her appreciation for this honor, affirming that it reflects the GCC’s commitment and that of the Ministers of Social Affairs to encourage giving and volunteer work and to strengthen its role in serving Gulf communities. She noted that the recognition represents an appreciation for Kuwaiti volunteer work, the Kuwait Association for Combating Smoking and Cancer, and its national campaign against cancer (KANC).
