Minister Inspects Social Centers and Facilities in the Kingdom of Bahrain

Manama, October 8 (KUNA) -- Kuwait’s Minister of Social Affairs, Labour and Social Development, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwail, accompanied by Bahrain’s Minister of Social Development, Osama Al-Alawi, conducted a field visit today, Thursday, to several social centers and facilities to review the services and programs provided to various beneficiary groups.
The tour included visits to the Mubarak Jassim Kano Comprehensive Social Center and the Capital Complex for Bahraini Handicrafts, where Minister Al-Huwail reviewed key services and initiatives aimed at supporting and empowering beneficiaries and enhancing their community participation.
She also visited the Social Protection and Care Complex, which houses the Child Protection Center, the Boys’ Placement Home, the Girls’ Placement Home, Dar Al-Karama (House of Dignity), and Dar Al-Aman (House of Safety). During the visit, she inspected the complex’s facilities, operational mechanisms, and the social, psychological, and residential services provided to beneficiaries.
The visit included an overview of the services offered by Dar Al-Aman, which are dedicated to survivors of domestic violence and their minor children, as well as programs designed to provide them with a safe and stable environment.
Minister Al-Huwail emphasized the importance of exchanging expertise and experiences between Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain, and of leveraging successful practices to develop the social protection and care system, thereby strengthening Gulf cooperation and contributing to improving the quality of services provided to families and beneficiary groups.
