Bahraini Crown Prince: We Will Continue Supporting Partnership, Strengthening Gulf Cooperation, and Expanding Joint Work Areas

Manama, Oct 8 (KUNA) – Bahraini Crown Prince and Prime Minister Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa affirmed today that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, is committed to supporting various efforts and initiatives aimed at consolidating partnership and enhancing cooperation among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states, and expanding areas of joint work to bring prosperity and development to the Gulf region and fulfill the aspirations of its people.
Bahrain’s official news agency reported that these remarks were made during a meeting at Qudibiya Palace between the Crown Prince and the heads of delegations participating in the 22nd meeting of the GCC Committee of Ministers and Heads of Civil Service Authorities, the 12th meeting of the GCC Committee of Ministers of Labor, and the 12th meeting of the GCC Committee of Ministers of Social Affairs and Development, hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain, along with GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed Al Budaiwi.
The delegation heads conveyed greetings from the leaders of the GCC member states to the King of Bahrain and to the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain. In turn, Sheikh Salman bin Hamad conveyed the King of Bahrain’s greetings and his own personal greetings to the GCC leaders, emphasizing the role of such meetings in strengthening GCC cooperation and integration, and in formulating additional joint initiatives and programs that bring prosperity and development to GCC member states and their citizens.
He noted that the continuous progress of joint GCC work and the achievements and gains realized across various fields reflect the strength of the bonds uniting the GCC member states. He stressed the importance of leveraging these successes to open new horizons for cooperation and coordination, translating the visions and aspirations of GCC leaders into further accomplishments that advance development and prosperity.
He highlighted the commitment to continuing the development of joint GCC cooperation and coordination in the fields of labor, social development, and civil service, building on existing achievements to enhance the efficiency of work systems and support the realization of shared development priorities and objectives. He also underscored the importance of continuing to exchange expertise, successful experiences, and best practices among GCC member states in various fields, particularly in labor, social development, and civil service, to develop programs and initiatives that enhance their efficiency and effectiveness and achieve desired goals.
Furthermore, he affirmed Bahrain’s keenness to continue its efforts to develop its labor market, civil service, and social development systems, thereby contributing to creating more high-quality opportunities for the citizens of GCC member states and supporting sustainable development pathways in the GCC.
For their part, the heads of delegations expressed their sincere gratitude and deep appreciation to the Bahraini Crown Prince, praising his continuous interest and commitment to strengthening joint GCC work and advancing various cooperation tracks toward broader horizons that meet the aspirations of GCC member states.
