Qatar and France discuss latest developments in Lebanon

Doha, October 8 (KUNA) -- Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Al-Khalifa, held talks today, Thursday, with Jean-Yves Le Drian, the special envoy of the French president to Lebanon, on the latest developments in Lebanon. The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that the meeting took place in Doha, where the two sides reviewed bilateral cooperation relations and ways to support and strengthen them, discussed the latest developments in Lebanon, and addressed a number of issues of mutual interest. Dr. Al-Khalifa reaffirmed Qatar’s unwavering support for the brotherly Lebanese people and their aspirations for development and prosperity, emphasizing that Lebanon’s stability is a cornerstone of regional stability and stressing the need to fully respect Lebanon’s sovereignty over its territory.
