Pakistan and Bahrain discuss regional and international developments

Islamabad, Oct 8 (KUNA) -- Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Muhammad Ishaq Dar, held talks today, Thursday, with Bahraini Foreign Minister Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani on bilateral relations and regional and international developments of mutual interest. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the two ministers reviewed bilateral relations during a meeting held at its headquarters in Islamabad and expressed their satisfaction with the positive momentum characterizing high-level exchanges between the two countries. The two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade, economy, and investment, while emphasizing the need to strengthen coordination in international forums. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry stated that the two sides also discussed regional and international developments and underscored the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in resolving conflicts and addressing challenges. The two sides agreed to enhance cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, energy, agriculture, food security, information technology, health, education, and labor. Pakistan reaffirmed the importance of translating fraternal relations into tangible benefits for the peoples of both countries and implementing the outcomes of the joint committee.
