Kuwait City, 8 October (KUNA) -- Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) and its subsidiaries launched today, Thursday, their Sustainability Report for 2023–2025 during a special event sponsored by the Corporation’s CEO, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Saud Al-Sabah, and attended by senior executives from the oil and banking sectors, representatives of financial and investment institutions, and various stakeholders.
In a statement, KPC said the event aimed to highlight the key results and achievements attained by the Corporation and its subsidiaries in the field of sustainability, and to enhance dialogue and communication with financial and investment institutions regarding their strategic directions and performance in this area, reflecting the Corporation’s commitment to reinforcing transparency and effective engagement with stakeholders.
The report outlines the performance of KPC and its subsidiaries, as well as their efforts in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) areas, along with several related topics, in accordance with the report’s preparation methodology and relevant standards.
The event shed light on the role of the Kuwaiti oil sector in balancing the requirements of economic growth with environmental and social responsibility, as well as the Corporation’s future vision for embedding sustainability principles across its operational activities and strategic decisions. This approach aims to enhance the resilience and competitiveness of its operations and create long-term sustainable value for Kuwait.
On this occasion, Badr Al-Attar, Managing Director of Planning and Finance at KPC, stated that the 2023–2025 Sustainability Report represents an important milestone in the Corporation’s journey toward establishing sustainability as a core element of its operations and long-term strategy.
Al-Attar added that the report reflects the Corporation’s commitment to transparency and strengthening communication with financial and investment institutions and stakeholders by disclosing its performance and achievements in environmental, social, and governance aspects. He emphasized that sustainability serves as a key pillar for supporting growth and creating sustainable value for Kuwait and future generations.
The event also featured an exhibition in which KPC and its subsidiaries showcased their key initiatives, projects, and success stories in sustainability, demonstrating the contributions of the Kuwaiti oil sector to supporting sustainable development and its readiness to keep pace with future changes and challenges.
