Cairo, Oct 8 (KUNA) — Egypt on Thursday expressed its strongest condemnation and outrage at the attacks and assaults targeting the territory of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, affirming its full solidarity and support for the Kingdom in confronting threats to its security and stability.
In a statement, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the attacks targeting Abha and King Khalid airports, which resulted in civilian casualties, “constitute a threat to the security and stability of the Kingdom and to the security and stability of the region as a whole.”
It stressed Egypt’s steadfast support for the Kingdom in facing any actions that could endanger its security or undermine its stability, emphasizing the need to put an end to these attacks and to adhere to the rules of international law, respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.
The ministry added that it is monitoring the situation of injured Egyptians as a result of these attacks, noting that the consular sector of the ministry and the Egyptian Embassy in Riyadh have been directed to continue coordination with the relevant authorities in the Kingdom. (End) A.F.F. / R.J.
