France summons Iranian ambassador in protest of "media misinformation"

Paris, Oct 7 (KUNA) -- France summoned its Iranian ambassador on Wednesday in response to an Iranian media disinformation campaign concerning the Lycée movement, which is leading student protests in French high schools. The French Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the summons was a reaction to the disinformation campaign launched by Iranian authorities against the Lycée movement in France. The statement added that the Iranian ambassador was informed that the false content published by the official accounts of the Iranian Foreign Ministry online was completely unacceptable, and that the claim that France had recalled its ambassador to Tehran on October 6 was baseless.
