Kuwait's Ambassador to Cyprus discusses ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in security and legal fields with Cypriot Justice Minister

Beirut, Oct 7 (KUNA) -- Kuwait’s Ambassador to the Republic of Cyprus, Abdullah Al-Turki, held talks today, Wednesday, with Cypriot Minister of Justice and Public Order, Kostas Viteris, to explore ways to enhance security and legal cooperation between the two friendly countries.
In a statement to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) following the meeting, Ambassador Al-Turki said the discussions focused on strengthening communication and coordination between the competent authorities in both countries and exchanging expertise. He noted that the Cypriot Minister of Justice and Public Order oversees several security and police-related files.
Al-Turki added that Minister Viteris expressed his country’s desire to broaden cooperation with Kuwait and enhance coordination between the relevant authorities in both nations to serve mutual interests.
The ambassador clarified that the talks also addressed Cyprus’s experience with the “Amalthia” initiative and the humanitarian sea corridor to the Gaza Strip, as well as its role in managing regional crises. He noted that the Cypriot minister invited him to visit the Search and Rescue Coordination Center in Larnaca to observe its functions, operational mechanisms, and role in coordinating related operations.
Ambassador Al-Turki reaffirmed Kuwait’s commitment to continuing the development of its relations with the Republic of Cyprus and strengthening cooperation between the two friendly countries. (End) F.Z. / N.S.A.
