Qatar reiterates condemnation of Houthi militia's targeting of electricity distribution station in Medina

Doha, Oct 7 (KUNA) – The Qatari Cabinet strongly condemned, in the strongest terms, the Houthi militia’s targeting of an electricity distribution station in Medina, Saudi Arabia, which serves the Noble Prophet’s Mosque and civilian residents. The attack constitutes a dangerous violation of the sanctity of Islamic holy sites, a clear provocation of Muslim sentiments, an unacceptable disregard for civilian lives, and a blatant infringement of Saudi sovereignty.
Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported that this statement was issued during the Cabinet’s regular meeting held on Wednesday, presided over by Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.
The Cabinet reaffirmed Qatar’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its steadfast support for the Kingdom in all lawful measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity, and Islamic holy sites. It emphasized that Saudi security is an integral part of Qatar’s security and of the collective security framework of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states. (End) s s s / n s a
