Kuwait City, 7 Oct (KUNA) – The Kuwait Municipality announced today, in coordination with the relevant authorities, the disconnection of electricity from four properties found to be in violation of regulations by housing single men in the Capital Governorate.
Ghanim Al-Shammari, head of the municipality’s inspection team for today’s round in the Capital Governorate, said in a press statement that the municipality would take all necessary supervisory measures against violators and ensure compliance with the relevant bylaws and regulations.
He explained that the municipality’s inspection team had identified several residential properties where single men were living. Despite issuing warnings to these properties, the municipality received no response, prompting the disconnection of their electricity supply.
Al-Shammari noted that today’s inspection round also resulted in issuing two violation notices and nine warnings to establishments found in violation in the Doha and Salwa areas. He affirmed that the municipality would take all appropriate actions against violators if the practice of housing single men continues in those areas.
He expressed his gratitude to all state entities participating in the municipality’s inspection rounds, commending the Ministry of Interior for securing all sites where electricity was disconnected, as well as the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy for their cooperation in completing the necessary procedures.
