Kuwait City, 7 October (KUNA) – Kuwait’s Minister of Oil, Tariq Al-Roumi, affirmed on Wednesday that the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) embodies a national and media journey during which the agency solidified its status as a reliable official source of news and information, and as a window reflecting the positions, achievements, and progress of the State of Kuwait at the local, regional, and international levels.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Oil, Al-Roumi said that KUNA has kept pace with Kuwait’s development trajectory over five decades, maintaining a prominent presence in reporting developments in the oil sector and highlighting the State of Kuwait’s role and positions in regional and international forums and organizations.
He praised the agency’s role in following up on the activities and events of the oil sector, and in professionally and accurately conveying its news and statements, thereby contributing to showcasing the state’s efforts in this vital sector.
