Saudi and Jordanian foreign ministers discuss regional developments and fraternal relations
Riyadh, Oct 6 (KUNA) -- Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan held talks today with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreigners’ Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi on developments in the regional situation and the fraternal relations between the two countries. The Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the discussion took place during a phone call between Prince Faisal bin Farhan and his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Safadi. The statement added that both sides emphasized the importance of continuing coordination and consultation between the two countries to support and enhance joint efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in the region. Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi expressed his country’s condemnation and denunciation of the blatant attacks by Houthi militias targeting areas in Saudi Arabia, including attempts to strike the holy cities of Mecca and Medina, as well as civilian and economic facilities. He reaffirmed Jordan’s solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its full support for all measures taken to safeguard its security, stability, and territorial integrity. (End) A.S. / N.S.
