US Treasury Secretary: Iran Did Not Load Any Crude Oil Onto Tankers Last Month

Washington, Oct 5 (KUNA) – U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Monday that Iran was unable to load any crude oil onto tankers last month, a development he described as a “fruit” of the “Economic Outcast” campaign launched by Washington on August 24 to completely isolate the Iranian regime economically. Bessent posted on the social media platform X, “The ‘Economic Outcast’ campaign is bearing fruit; the Iranian rial has plummeted to record lows.” He affirmed, “Iran did not load any crude oil onto tankers during the past month.” He also noted that “senior Iranian security officials have acknowledged that the country is facing one of the most difficult periods in its history.” He reiterated that the “‘Economic Outcast’ campaign will not stop until the Iranian regime realizes that the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump will never allow it to fund terrorism or develop a nuclear weapon.” (End) R.S.R. / M.A.H.A.
