Egypt condemns repeated Israeli occupation violations of Syrian sovereignty

Cairo, Oct 5 (KUNA) — Egypt today, Monday, strongly condemned the continued violations by the Israeli occupation of Syrian sovereignty. The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement, pointed to the resumption of digging and military construction works in the countryside of Quneitra, coinciding with continued Israeli incursions into other areas in southern Syria, in a blatant violation of Syrian sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, as well as of international law and the 1974 Disengagement Agreement. Egypt reaffirmed its firm rejection of all Israeli moves and measures aimed at entrenching a new reality on the ground. It stressed the necessity of respecting Syria’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity, and of withdrawing from occupied Syrian territories. (End) A.F. / N.S.A.
