Aden, Oct 5 (KUNA) -- The Yemeni Armed Forces announced on Monday the execution of 1,122 precise strike operations against military sites, movements, and capabilities belonging to Houthi militias across various battlefronts in different Yemeni governorates.
In a statement, Brigadier General Majid Al-Nazili, the official spokesperson for the Armed Forces, said the strikes targeted artillery positions, rocket launchers, defensive fortifications, approach and deployment routes, supply and reinforcement lines, combat concentrations, governing bodies, and command and control centers affiliated with the militias.
He clarified that the operations, which covered axes and frontlines in Saada, Al-Jawf, Taiz, and the Coastal region, varied between warplanes, drones, artillery, missiles, rocket launchers, and snipers.
He noted that the field results of the strike operations resulted in the killing of 1,747 militia members and the destruction or damage of 364 military vehicles, equipment, and transport and supply means.
He affirmed that the Armed Forces continue to carry out their missions steadily and effectively in the battle for liberation, the restoration of the state’s territories and institutions, the assertion of national sovereignty, and the fulfillment of assigned tasks.
In the same context, the state-run Yemeni News Agency (Saba) quoted a government military source as saying that the Armed Forces had regained the initiative in several combat axes in Taiz governorate and foiled infiltration attempts and attacks launched by Houthi militias over the past hours.
It added that the clashes resulted in hundreds of killed and wounded among the militia ranks due to ambushes, sniper fire, drone strikes, and direct engagements, coinciding with air raids targeting Houthi military sites, reinforcements, and movements in several frontlines.
Sources said the Armed Forces have doubled their combat readiness across various frontlines as part of broader military plans to reclaim the remaining territories of the country.
The Yemeni Armed Forces had announced on Sunday the commencement of the liberation battle, the completion of restoring state institutions, ending the Houthi coup, alleviating the suffering of the people, and re-establishing the state of order, constitution, and law. (End) S.N.S. / N.A.A.
