Bahraini Foreign Minister Praises Success of Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia

Manama, Oct 4 (KUNA) -- Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdulatif bin Rashid Al Zayani today, Sunday, praised the outstanding success of the 22nd edition of the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix Formula One race, which was held at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.
In a press statement marking the conclusion of the race, Al Zayani said, “This distinguished achievement embodies the deep, fraternal ties between Bahrain and Malaysia and conveys a message of friendship, peace, and cooperation from the Kingdom to the world.” He further described the sporting event as “a significant addition to the Kingdom’s sporting, diplomatic, and civilizational accomplishments, reflecting its leadership in motorsport, the competence of its national cadres, and its creativity, professionalism, and ability to continue delivering results and achievements under various circumstances and challenges.”
He expressed Bahrain’s profound gratitude and appreciation to Malaysia’s leadership, government, and people, as well as to Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, for their generous hospitality and the arrangements and facilitations provided to members of the “Bahrain Team,” whose organizational, administrative, and logistical expertise, accumulated over more than two decades, contributed to the success of the race.
It is worth noting that the 22nd edition of the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix was held exceptionally and for the first time at the Malaysian Sepang circuit from the 2nd to the 4th of this month, attended by Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. (End) KH / SM
