Istanbul, Oct 4 (KUNA) -- Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Sunday that Turkish exports had risen by 5.2 percent since the beginning of the year, reaching $211 billion and setting a new record. He stressed that Turkey would continue its path of development and growth despite the successive wars and crises affecting the region.
Erdogan’s remarks came in a post on the Turkish social media platform “X” (formerly Twitter), where he commented on Turkey’s export figures for September, noting that they reached $26 billion, marking the highest level for September exports in the history of the Turkish Republic.
He added, “We have thus set a record for exports over five months of 2026, achieving a historic success. Our exports have also risen by 28.3 percent on an annual basis to $287 billion, the highest level ever.”
Erdogan affirmed that Turkey would continue working to achieve further successes through a vision that prioritizes investment, production, exports, and employment. (End) TA/HS
