Qatar Condemns Israeli Violations in Syrian Territories and Completion of Work on So-Called 'Sufa 53 Line'

Doha, Oct 4 (KUNA) -- Qatar strongly condemned on Sunday the ongoing violations committed by the Israeli occupation in Syrian territory, most recently the completion of work on what is referred to as “Line Sofar 53,” which it deemed a blatant violation of the sovereignty of the sister Arab Republic of Syria, a flagrant breach of the principles of international law, and a serious threat to regional security. In a statement, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to take urgent action to compel the Israeli occupation to comply with resolutions of international legitimacy, particularly the 1974 ceasefire agreement, and to halt its repeated aggressions against Syrian territory, thereby preventing further escalation and tension in the region. The ministry reaffirmed Qatar’s full support for Syria’s sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, and Qatar’s solidarity with the brotherly Syrian people in their pursuit of security, stability, and prosperity.
